Down The Rabbit Hole

Finally got this layout up for you to look at.  There are so many things going on it is very hard to name all the products that I used.  I had so much fun putting these layouts together for a local competition.  The photos were from a shoot I had done a few years ago called Alice on the Edge (Corimages).  I hope you enjoy looking at everything.
I have to say a big thank you to Kelly-Anne of From A Mother's Art for prompting me to put this into the competition.

A variety of bits and pieces here.  I used old jewellery and pulled apart an old watch.

Twiddly Bitz gears, copper embossing powder,
acetate images & mini playing card by Kaisercraft.

Voila The Chef

I love this cute little guy.  Had to make up a card very quickly on Friday for a friend's birthday.
I used a paper from a Kaisercraft 61/2 x61/2 paper pad and the stamp is from Stamping Up.  Thankfully I had purchased a square card kit that included envelopes a while back so it made everything so easy.

Distressed Note Book

Here is one of my latest creations.  I wish I thought to take more photos, sorry.  This was a plain chipboard notebook that I purchased from Lincraft and inside the pages are thick and a vanilla colour and blank. (Darn not photographing that for you).

I pulled off the back and front pages and covered them in Core Destinations cardstock.  I sanded it back to reveal some of the pattern underneath.  I then used a bit of Tim Holtz Distress ink in black soot to add a bit more distressing.  The hardware is Tim Holtz die and I used the grunge board for the right hand piece that holds the book closed with velcro.  The metal was die cut out of an aluminium can and then another piece punched out with a Stamping Up Label punch.  I used distress inks and powders on the Hardware findings and a bit of distress stickles in vintage photo.

It is only a simple piece for a male friend who will be carrying it around so I didn't want to go all out on it.

Betty Boop Fancy Dress

So, I'm sitting here with my hair in tight rollers and my retro soft hood dryer.  Why? I'm off to a fancy dress party beginning with the letter B (for the Birthday girl's name).  I've got a killer red retro dress and with any luck my hair and make up will resemble Betty Boop.  Unfortunately, I really don't have the body for it.  My body is more suited to ummm, a Teletubbie.

Here is the photo of someone made up like Betty Boop. And then me, work in progress.

This is the make up artist on Youtube.  Here are the links for her.  She's done a fantastic job.

Okay.........and here I am.  I can tell you now.  I think I will look more like Heath Ledger as the joker in Batman.  Stay posted for the finished product, it is sure to make you laugh.

Well, here is the finished product with hubby the butcher.  Not quite as nice as the photo above but for little ol Casino it was okay.  I'm going to have another go at it in a month or so.  I won first prize for the dress ups.

Saturday Sketch #1, April 2012

Hi All
Here is my page for sketch #1, April 2012 (Kaisercraft).  When I first saw this paper range I fell madly in love with it.  It is so definitely me.  Red is one of my favourite colours.  So, I had to purchase the papers but really had nothing to scrap until, I remembered going to a wonderful concert while on my honeymoon in Prague.

Here is a photo of the Prague Municipal House (Sementa Hall).  I will be scrapping the inside photos next because this building was stunning.  Felt like we had gone back in time to a fairly tale.

Mmm, forgot I had a few problems with the liquid pearls.  Must remember to use in better light.

Saturday Sketch #2 April 2012

Here is my very first sketch from the Kaisercraft Saturday sketches.  I used some of the Hunter Gatherer collection, rub-ons and stamp from the rewind set.  I used the mini letter stickers for my journalling.

I just love these banners.

I hope you enjoy my first sketch.
